About PEP Associates, LLC
PEP is the first and foremost integrated estimating
system, established in 1998. PEP was first created to streamline
Marge’s own business, and has quickly grown into an industry
leader in estimating software and instruction. PEP has provided
estimating presentations at various PDCA conferences and
Sherwin-Williams pro-shows.
The PEP staff can be found at conferences throughout the United
States, and will soon be expanding PEP software demonstrations
to Canada.
PEP has grown from a single-user program and now offers
multi-user platforms, and a lite version which serves as an
introduction to the professional program. PEP also has
integrated with the digitizer pen to accurately and quickly read
blueprints. PEP creates a portable office when used with a
tablet or laptop on the jobsite. PEP allows estimation in the
metric and U.S. imperial measurement systems.
Despite PEP’s recent growth with modern technology trends, it
remains user-friendly and is an essential tool for painting
contractors. Remember, PEP was created "By a Painter... For
Painters."
Do you ask yourself these questions?
Am I going to make a profit?
Why is it that when January rolls around you're asking yourself
why you can't afford a vacation this year? Or why isn't there
enough money in the accounts to buy that new truck your crew has
needed for the last six months?
Time and time again, painters guesstimate a job and while they
account for time and materials, they forget to include necessary
margins to cover the less frequent expenses. Painters running a
business without a real estimating tool are like painters trying
to paint oil with a latex brush.

Is my pricing consistent?
Say you painted windows at a job last month; it took 2 hours
per window. This month you have a job that has windows, but you
can't exactly recall how long the windows took you last time. You
check out the windows at this job and it looks like it will take
an hour and a half per window, but it turns out to take 2 hours,
just like last time. You lost 30 minutes of billable time per
window, and if the job had 20 windows, that's $500 out the window.
Don't guesstimate a job. Estimate the job! PEP allows painters
to be more organized, more efficient, and more profitable. |
